How it performed

Seresto is the collar most vets reach for, and it earns that with a genuine eight-month window and a fit-and-forget design very close to our winner.

In use it was competent rather than dramatic. Relief arrived, but more slowly than I wanted on the dog that already had an active infestation, and the first couple of weeks still involved combing.

The sticking point is cost. At its usual price it is the most expensive collar in this test by a wide margin, and paying that per dog in a multi-dog household stings.

What we liked

  • Longest clinical track record of anything on this list
  • Kills and repels for a full eight months per collar
  • Works by contact, so pests do not have to bite to die
  • Hassle-free and non-greasy day to day

What held it back

  • Costs several times what the #1 pick charges for the same eight-month window
  • Label says protection only starts after 24 hours, so the first day is unguarded

Best for: Owners who want the clinic-standard collar and do not mind paying full retail · In Stock
